At iRescue Wildlife and Farm Sanctuary, we are launching a premium, small group volunteer program in 2026 intentionally limited to a maximum of 8 volunteers at a time. This is not a typical large scale volunteer setup. It is a deeply personal, high quality experience designed for individuals who want to make a meaningful difference while living in comfort and privacy inside a 500-acre protected wildlife sanctuary.

WILDLIFE RESCUE
Step into the heart of real wildlife rescue at iRescue. As a volunteer, you’ll play a direct role in rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for injured, orphaned, and confiscated mammals and birds in our private 500-acre mountain sanctuary. Working alongside our experienced team, you’ll prepare specialized diets, enrich enclosures, support rehabilitation, and witness animals regain their strength for release or receive lifelong compassionate care if they cannot return to the wild. This is your chance to make a genuine, meaningful difference in the lives of Costa Rica’s wildlife every single day.
FARM SANCTUARY
Become part of something truly special in our 35-acre no-kill Farm Sanctuary. As a volunteer, you’ll work directly with gentle cows, horses, goats, chickens, and ducks while tending our thriving organic garden and food forest. You’ll help provide compassionate daily care, prepare fresh feeds, maintain pastures, and support sustainable living practices that supply nutritious food for both our rescued wildlife and the entire sanctuary community. This is a rare opportunity to live and work in beautiful harmony with animals, nature, and purpose all within our peaceful 500-acre mountain sanctuary.

At iRescue, we believe volunteers deserve more than just a bed they deserve a true sanctuary experience. Enjoy comfortable, private accommodations featuring king-size beds, individual bathrooms, and spacious rooms (with an optional private apartment upgrade). Nestled peacefully within our private sanctuary, you’ll unwind with pure spring water, stunning highland views, and delicious organic meals sourced straight from our garden. This elevated living experience allows you to rest and recharge while fully immersing yourself in meaningful wildlife and farm work
