Donation Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: April 2026
Thank you for your generous support of iRescue Wildlife and Farm Sanctuary. All donations made through this website are final and non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances described below.
General Policy
Your donation is a charitable contribution that directly supports our wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, release, and sanctuary operations. Once processed, donations are immediately applied to our mission. Consistent with standard practices of leading U.S. animal welfare nonprofits, we generally do not issue refunds.
Exceptions
We will consider refund requests only in the following exceptional cases:

The donation was made in error (e.g., incorrect amount or accidental duplicate)

The donation was unauthorized or made with a stolen or fraudulent payment method

Technical processing error on our platform
All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the donation date to info@iRescueWildlife.org. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.
Recurring Donations
You may cancel a recurring monthly donation at any time. Cancellation will take effect for the next billing cycle. No refunds will be issued for donations already processed.
Payment Security
All donations are processed securely through Wix.com’s payment platform. Wix uses PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (the same security standards used by major banks and credit card companies like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover). Your financial information is never stored on our servers.
We appreciate your understanding and generosity. Every donation helps us provide critical care to injured and displaced wildlife in Costa Rica.
